Prof. Wenhui Duan, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Expert in Materials Science. His main research area is materials science, material properties prediction and microstructure design are carried out from the atomic and electronic levels. The quantum transport properties caused by the symmetry selection rule are found. The scheme of directly constructing the basic device unit based on graphene is proposed, and a variety of two-dimensional topological materials with simple composition are predicted. The hydrogen bridge mechanism of abnormal surface metallization of semiconductor materials is proposed, superlattice modulation was found to induce a new ferroelectric phase and improve piezoelectric performance. The quantum phase transition mechanism in magnetic doped topological materials is revealed, and the phenomenon of negative birefringence in the film is found. The chief scientist of the two major national research project won the second prizeof the National Natural Science Award (2000,2014)and won the Ye Qisun Physics Prize (20130,and published the Science Citation Index (SCI) to include more than 280  academic papers. Prof. Wenhui Duan serves as the Chief Scientist and Member of the Academic Advisory Committee of the Center.
